Trailblazers and Pathfinders - A Networking Event!

Join us for an inspiring and transformative event, Trailblazers and Pathfinders, where young Black girls aged 16-26 will have the opportunity to connect, learn, and grow with some of the most accomplished and leading women in various industries. This exclusive networking event is designed to offer guidance, mentorship, and actionable career advice to help shape the next generation of leaders.

As part of the Black Women's Economic Security (BWES) project, Trailblazers and Pathfinders will match each young participant with a leading woman in her field of interest. These seasoned professionals—trailblazers in their own right—will share invaluable insights, personal stories, and expert advice to help empower young Black women to chart their own unique career paths. Whether you're passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, healthcare, media, or social impact, this event offers the rare chance to engage one-on-one with mentors who understand the importance of representation and guidance.

The "Beyond the Classroom: Your Path, Your Power" conference addresses significant challenges Black youth face in Canada, particularly related to education and employment. The conference will directly impact the empowerment of Black youth in the Niagara Region by providing them with skills development, career readiness, and leadership opportunities.

A panel discussion as part of the Black Women's Economic Security (BWES) Project in collaboration with Brock University.

Together, we will tackle themes such as:
Strategies to address barriers Black girls and women face in securing jobs and advancing to leadership roles
, creating inclusive environments with culturally competent resources and practical advice on fostering equitable workplaces for employers, job seekers, and students.

The Future Black Female Summer Camp focused on FBF’s three pillars of wellbeing: Mental Health; Financial Literacy; and Career and Education Pathways. The program incorporated an understanding of Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC) female experiences; mental health prevention and treatment; financial wellbeing; social justice; gaining employment; and charting a future career. All while enjoying beautiful surroundings, scrumptious meals, and each other.
