Future Black Female crée des opportunités pour les filles et les jeunes femmes noires/africaines âgées de 16 à 22 ans de se développer et de prospérer en tant que futures leaders et entrepreneuses sociales.
Buts:
Créer un environnement stimulant qui permet à chaque future femme noire de passer au niveau supérieur de croissance personnelle et de leadership.
Permettre aux futures femmes noires, grâce à une culture de facilitation, de faire face aux complexités de la communauté et de la société mondiale.
Augmenter le bien-être émotionnel et mental des futures femmes noires en tant qu'individus et en tant que collectif.
Cadre de l'environnement facilitateur :
Connaissance : conscience, prise de conscience et ouverture.
Confiance : affirmation de soi, estime de soi et communauté.
Ethique : accord, mutualité et distinction.
Un programme à distance intensif de littératie numérique pour vous aider à développer des compétences professionnelles transférables.
Cette opportunité est ouverte à toute future femme noire âgée de 16 à 22 ans. Il vous sera demandé une pièce d'identité avec photo pour vérifier votre âge. Les stagiaires reçoivent des honoraires pour les aider à payer leurs données et leur utilisation d'Internet.

En tant que stagiaire, on ne s'attend pas à ce que vous soyez un expert, mais à ce que vous fassiez preuve d'une volonté d'excellence. Les stages durent au moins 3 mois et les stagiaires doivent gérer quotidiennement les médias sociaux de Future Black Female. D'autres tâches sont attribuées à la discrétion du personnel de Future Black Female mais n'interféreront pas avec les autres responsabilités du stagiaire (scolarité ou emploi).
Internship Opportunity: Youth Recreational & Leisure Activities Program Coordinator
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to assist in leading and coordinating recreational and leisure activities for Black female youth. This internship, under the Canada Summer Jobs Program, offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain experience in youth programming while making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Assist in designing and delivering recreational and leisure activities tailored to the needs and interests of Black female youth. Support the incorporation of mental health and wellness strategies into programming.
Help plan activities that build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. Engagement and Outreach:
Support outreach efforts to recruit youth participants through schools, community centres, and online platforms.
Assist in building relationships with local service providers, community organizations, and partners to enhance program offerings. Contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants.
Coordination and Logistics:
Help schedule and manage program activities.
Assist in coordinating venues, supplies, and other resources for activities. Monitor attendance and gather feedback to support program improvement. Team Support and Leadership:
Work closely with staff, volunteers, or interns supporting program activities.
Act as a supportive team member and contribute to a positive environment for participants. Evaluation and Reporting:
Support the collection of data and tracking of program outcomes to evaluate effectiveness. Contribute to reports for stakeholders and funding partners.
Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines during activities. Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background:
Current student or recent graduate in Recreation, Youth Work, Social Work, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience:
Previous experience in youth programs, recreation, or related fields is an asset but not required. Familiarity with culturally responsive programming is desirable.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Creativity in contributing ideas for engaging and impactful activities. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Awareness of issues affecting Black female youth in Canada. Other Requirements:
Must meet eligibility requirements for the Canada Summer Jobs Program (ages 15-30). CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is an asset.
Clear vulnerable sector police check may be required.

Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Public Relations Specialist Intern. This internship, under the Canada Summer Jobs Program, offers the opportunity to develop public relations strategies, engage with media outlets, and enhance the organization’s visibility while supporting programs that empower Black female youth.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations:
Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with media outlets and journalists.
Draft press releases, media advisories, and pitches to promote organizational programs and events. Monitor media coverage and compile reports on PR activities.
Content Creation:
Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and the organization’s website. Develop storytelling campaigns that highlight the impact of Future Black Female’s initiatives. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
Event Promotion:
Support the planning and promotion of events, workshops, and community engagements. Coordinate publicity efforts to maximize event attendance and awareness.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the development of public relations and communications strategies. Assist in identifying opportunities for media coverage and public engagement.
Community Engagement:
Act as a liaison between the organization and its stakeholders, ensuring clear and positive communication. Support outreach initiatives to build and strengthen community partnerships.
Administrative Support:
Maintain organized records of media contacts, press materials, and PR activities.
Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings with stakeholders or media representatives. Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background:
Current student or recent graduate in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Experience:
Previous experience in public relations, communications, or social media management is an asset but not required. Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in social media platforms and content management tools.
Creativity and attention to detail in developing compelling stories and campaigns. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
